Vision, Mission and Values
The Trust Board spends time on strategic planning and is committed to ensuring the intent in the organisation’s Vision, Mission and Values statement is upheld by all that populate this organisation.
MissionTo lead and facilitate social change to an inclusive society that values diversity. LIFE Unlimited will provide services that empower people with disabilities to be in charge of their own lives. |
To this effect we invest in internal quality. We are proud to be able to add value with this investment, as those that benefit are the people that we serve.
Values* Integrity * Excellence * Accountability* |
The Trust's key relationships are to the people that we serve; with the Ministry of Health, Group Special Education, Ministry of Social Development, Tertiary Education Commission, Work and Income New Zealand and the Waikato District Health Board.
The Trust is privileged to have formal partnerships with:
- Raukura Hauora O Tainui (Waikato, Hamilton, South Auckland)
- Kirikiriroa Marae (Hamilton)
- Raukawa (Horowhenua)
- Ngati Porou Hauora (Tairawhiti)
- DRC Auckland (LIFE Centre North Shore)
- Parent to Parent New Zealand
LIFE Unlimited also has informal partnerships with a number of Iwi health providers within the regions as well as working nationally throughout New Zealand.
The government’s document “The New Zealand Disability Strategy” (2001) continues to provide LIFE Unlimited direction and focus; that has formed the objectives within our research projects.
Apart from the government funded contracts that LIFE Unlimited have, the organisation prides itself on the many community initiatives that are funded through the organisation’s fundraising activities. This allows our organisation to be innovative in approach for many service initiatives. LIFE Unlimited have invested in research this last year and we are excited about the innovation we may develop for both our Needs Assessment and Hearing Therapy services. Please see the Contracted Services table and the Charitable Services table.
