What is the Mobile Information & Equipment Service?
The Mobile Information & Equipment Service is available in the Waikato, Tairawhiti (Gisborne), Rotorua and Tauranga areas.
It operates to ensure people in these areas have direct access to disability information on education, disability services, assistive equipment and advocacy.
The Service aims to..
- Provide a client centered service developed around community needs.
- To increase public awareness of disability and the key issues relating to it.
- To provide effective information and education resources for the community on all issues relating to disability.
- Promote "Living Independence" and all that is entailed within this.
